Not quite the McDonald's of tea, but at last count there were 26 branches in Beijing. This store
is the largest. Their jasmine tea (hua cha) is excellent.

Over a hundred years old and considered a laozihao(time-honored business), Wuyutai has
expanded to include multiple locations. Not as cheap as the Tea Street Market but the tea
leaves are fresh and great quality and the jasmine tea is excellent.

For tea lovers everywhere, Beijing's wholesale tea market’s 900 plus stalls are testament to just
how much tea there is in China. From jasmine to erlong, green tea to the expensive pu’er, and
everything in between, there’s almost too much choice. However, vendors help out by inviting
you to sit down and have a taste beforehand and the pace is relaxed without any pressure to
buy. Tea sets, demonstrations of the tea ceremony and even tea flavored dumplings can also
be found.

One of century-old shop and time-honored brand in Beijing, Zhangyiyuan Tea Shop was voted
as one of Beijing Top Ten Franchised Brands in 2007. Well-known China green teas including
Longjing, Biluochun are available besides the scented tea, black tea and health tea. Tea sets
are also sold here.
