There are few restaurants in the world that leave the diner breathless. Sometimes it might be a dish, occasionally the
exceptionally helpful service, but invariably it is the views that are etched into everlasting memory.

Bangkok has Sirocco, Hong Kong has Felix and now Beijing has its very own awe-inspiring mega-view restaurant at China
Grill. Perched atop the 66th floor of
the Park Hyatt Hotel, the glass encased China Grill looks out across the city, giving the
glitz and glam of Shanghai a run for its money.

















Looking from east to west the city’s brightly illuminated ancient axis snakes off into the distant western hills like a dragon’s
tail. The Great Hall of the People,
The Forbidden City, the old and new CCTV Towers – all are lit up and clearly visible,
offering views of the city never seen before. It’s well worth enjoying a cocktail or two at the bar to get the 360-degree view of
the city before heading upstairs for dinner.

The menu at China Grill is simple and easy to navigate, broken into appetizers, Western cuts of meat from the grill, and
Chinese dishes, mean it has something for everyone. Of the appetizers, the pork ribs in roast garlic chips are soft and fatty
but the meat is slightly overpowered by the mountain of garlic. The blue crab fish cakes, on the other hand, are cooked to
perfection, with large chunks of white crab tumbling out of the light, crisp filling.




















The main courses from the grill cover everything imaginable – from lamb chops to Wagyu steaks, beef sirloin and lobster.
The tenderloin 220g (310RMB) is a delicious chunk of fatless meat, and the roast chicken, though on the bone, is equally
well cooked. The mash potato side (50RMB) is a must, deliciously smooth, rich and creamy, whilst the spinach comes
served in an addictively creamy sauce.

From the Chinese menu, the sweet and sour black cod arrives bubbling away in a stone pot and is big enough to be shared
– as, it can be assumed, are most of the dishes on the latter menu, so it’s best if more than one person at your table plumps
for the Chinese option.

The super fresh cod retains its texture and just about manages not to be overpowered by the rich and flavourful sauce
which, though tasty, is more gravy-like than anything tangy or sweet and sour-esque. For those who have room for dessert,
recommended is the fig and blackberry crumble (75RMB), perfectly sized and getting the balance between fruit and biscuit
just right it.



















The quality of service is exceptional – of a standard that can really only be found in five-star hotel restaurants. The staff’s
complete knowledge of the menu, subtle suggestions and a willingness to accommodate and think on their feet means that
you can just enjoy the food, and the incredible views.
北京亮餐厅 - 北京最高的餐厅

Haytt旗下酒店的餐厅从来不让人失望,位于柏悦酒店内的北京亮更是如此。乘坐高速电梯到达63层大堂只需要 36秒的时间,占领了
整个CBD的至高点。而北京亮则需要再从63楼转乘玻璃观景电梯直达66层。在这里,可以360度看见北京最美丽的夜景。餐厅室内环
境是由来自美国的Peter Remedios设计工作室设计,整体风格现代中透露出硬朗大气的感觉,空间通透,用大量的水景和竹子、榕
树等作为自然景观穿插其中,无论坐在哪一个位子都能够欣赏到美丽的景致。

餐厅的食物是无法归类的,按照时兴的方法来说,这里提供的是无国界料理,无论你想吃中餐、西餐或是日本料理都可以满足。餐厅
中心围绕着的是各个不同的开放式料理台,绕场一周可以看到有提供生猛海鲜的档口,也有开放式的烤炉和寿司台,其中还穿插着存
放各国葡萄酒的酒柜,而这里拥有厚达90页的酒单,可以满足各种客人挑剔的需要。

晚餐在这里可以清晰地看见厨师们将牛排送进熊熊燃烧的火焰中,然后翻烤。而窗外则正对着
国贸三期的夜景,所有的楼宇在66层
的高度下都显得渺小而闪烁着迷朦的灯光。

在正式用餐之前,不妨先享用一下这里的面包,名为Sour dough,外层很脆,内里却柔软而有弹性,这种吃上去略微带着一点酸酸
的感觉的面包据说是时兴于美国和德国地区,口感特别,可以搭配奶油味道浓重的总统牌黄油,而担心体重的女孩子也可以选择用橄
榄油、柿子椒和风干番茄特调的酱汁,口味甜美特别。头盘点的是锦绣海鲜拼盘(550元),端上来的时候硕大的龙虾和新鲜的贝壳类
食物令人震撼,海虹接近于深紫色的贝壳下面柔软嫩滑的肉体适合蘸取带着一点酸味的酱料或是仅仅用柠檬汁调味即可。新鲜而硕大
的扇贝,大明虾充满弹性的肉质,尤其是切好的龙虾,雪白清凉的肉很容易被剔出来,因为新鲜而充满弹性,所以只要蘸一些酸酸的
柠檬汁就足够了,而龙虾腿也已经被切开,食用起来非常方便。

仔细观察菜单,中国菜的部分几乎没有红肉,而红肉则主要以西式的牛扒为主,中餐大多是海鲜。而最受欢迎的一道是黑胡椒斯里兰
卡大蟹(480/公斤),是主厨欧阳先生的推荐。至少1.3公斤以上的大蟹,需要用胡椒、蒜、姜、料酒、葱和黄油等慢慢焖煮出来,说
是中餐,其实是新加坡的做法。端上来的时候黑乎乎一大盘,华丽异常,弄得我身边的人惊呼,这是在北京吗?好像在夏威夷度假一
般奢侈。虽然卖相一般,但是味道却可以打上十分,带着淡淡的黑胡椒味道,并且蟹肉鲜嫩入味,而一整只大蟹壳上更是有着饱足的
蟹黄可以挑来吃,绝对令人满足,因此这道菜的点击率也是相当高的。

此外,想要吃肉类的就不妨试着点这里的牛扒,所有的部位都是选用180天的澳大利亚谷饲牛,这里我们点的牛柳(310元),搭配奶
油菠菜品质不俗。建议可以点三分熟的牛肉,刚好外层烤到微焦,而内里则是无比软嫩的透露出粉红的肉质,这样的熟度其实是恰到
好处,牛肉相当不错,但之前的海鲜太过于绚丽,而削弱了它在这餐中的分量。此外,我们也尝试了一下寿司的水准,无论是握寿司
还是卷寿司,大小都非常适度,米饭拿捏的尺度也很好,鱼生切的大小和新鲜程度都相当专业,而配的更是现磨的山葵,可以说日餐
在这里虽然不是主角,品质却相当出色。

甜品

最后的甜品,是令人难忘的手笔。据说甜品厨师是日本人,说这些是万恶之源真是丝毫不过分,吃到饱足的我们,本来以为已经吃不
下任何甜食。而当华丽的甜品拼盘(150元)被端上来的时候,粉透的梅子冰霜,缀有新鲜草莓的焦糖布丁还有水果挞都难以置信地美
味。尤其是巧克力冰淇淋和蛋糕,冰淇淋用的是纯巧克力而内里还有巧克力碎,蛋糕吃上去像是一整块绵软的巧克力酱,几乎不需要
咀嚼。总之,什么保持体重不再吃甜品这样的誓言统统被抛诸脑后了,尽情享受这华丽的一餐,安慰自己说一顿饭是吃不成一个胖子
的。
